Frequently Asked Questions
Where is SAFe Rescue and when can I drop in? +
SAFe Rescue's adoption center is at 20226 Ballinger Way NE in Shoreline, in the Ballinger Village area. It is open for walk-in visits Thursday through Saturday from noon to 6 p.m., and Sundays are by appointment.
Do I need an application or an appointment to adopt? +
No. SAFe does first-come, first-served, same-day adoptions using a conversational matching process instead of an application form, and it does not place cats on hold. At busy times there can be a wait, and staff text you when it is your turn.
What do SAFe adoptions include? +
Every cat is spayed or neutered, microchipped, and FVRCP vaccinated, and each adoption includes a free post-adoption vet exam and 30 days of pet insurance. Kittens under six months old go home in pairs, matching SAFe's kitten companion policy.
